About Valerie:
Valerie was raised in Salem, beginning as a Fisk Falcon, then as a Woodbury Warrior, and now is a proud alum of Salem High School. It is her honor to serve as one of Salem’s State Representatives and she appreciates your continued support.
As your State Representative, Valerie has crafted legislation predominantly relating to Education policy. Key issues have included expanding school choice, preserving Constitutional liberties, and maintaining the New Hampshire advantage— sales and income tax free. Amidst historic polarization, she co-sponsored bipartisan legislation that was recently signed into law. Effective August 2025, the new law ensures students rights to Free Speech and Association at public colleges and universities.

Additionally, the National Association of Secretaries of State recognized Valerie with a Youth Leadership Award for encouraging civic participation among adolescents and young adults. Dedicated to increasing civic literacy, Valerie advocated for mandatory civics courses which were signed into law in 2023. Prior to this law, the Salem School District did not offer courses entirely dedicated to civics.
Without understanding how our government works, how can we expect citizens to participate and vote? We can’t. For this reason, Valerie makes educational YouTube videos, many of which are linked to the Civics page of this website. Video topics include the US Constitution, how a bill becomes law, and a reading series for younger kids.
Valerie continues to be involved in the community. She is an advisor to the Legislative Youth Advisory Council (LYAC), an Executive Board Member of New Hampshire Young Republicans, and a member of Run Gen Z’s Rising Stars Coalition. This year, she was a judge of The American Legion’s Oratorical Contest, which she won in 2021 and 2022. Valerie was also a guest speaker at The American Legion’s Boys State and Granite Girls State. Some of Valerie’s other speaking engagements have included events hosted by Turning Point USA and Harvard University.
Finally, Valerie earned a B.A. in Political Science from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently attending Massachusetts School of Law.
