Gun Rights

“As the opposition gets louder, we need to resist harder.” -Valerie McDonnell

A proponent of the Second Amendment, Valerie defends gun and firearm rights, concealed carry laws, and “Stand-Your-Ground” self-defense policies.

In the 2010 Supreme Court case decision McDonald v. Chicago, Justice Alito wrote that “Self-defense is a basic right.” Furthermore, Justice Scalia called self-defense “the central component” of the second amendment in the Supreme Court case decision District of Columbia v. Heller of 2008. This means that gun ownership is central to self-defense, which is a basic right.

Valerie McDonnell will never stop defending the 2nd Amendment in the Granite State.
